What are Apocynads? These are succulent members of the family Apocynaceae, familiar as Adeniums, Pachypodiums and Plumerias. However, the family is far more diverse than this since, as a consequence of recent molecular studies, the family Asclepiadaceae has been merged with it. So Stapeliads, Brachystelmas, Ceropegias, Fockeas, etc. are now also Apocynads. With 600+ species in over 70 genera, there is plenty to discuss and discover.
